Dawnbreaker vs Jakiro

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Dawnbreaker is a death sentence for Jakiro. Her Celestial Hammer closes distance instantly, and once she's on top of him, he has few options. Jakiro's slow cast animations, especially on Ice Path, mean he often can't land a stun before Dawnbreaker gets her full Starbreaker combo off. Even if he manages to land a spell, Dawnbreaker's passive healing lets her shrug off a lot of the damage-over-time from Dual Breath or Macropyre. She has all the tools needed to initiate on him and stick to the target.

This dynamic forces Jakiro to play from extremely far back, which limits his effectiveness. His whole game plan revolves around controlling space from a safe distance, but Dawnbreaker's Solar Guardian can punish this positioning at any moment. She will actively hunt Jakiro in fights because he's an easy kill that removes a lot of the enemy's teamfight control. Jakiro's only hope is to have allies with instant lockdown peel for him, but Dawnbreaker is durable enough to survive the initial response and finish her job anyway.
