Catching an ally with Kunkka's X Marks the Spot and Ghostship combo is usually a death sentence, but that's where Dawnbreaker gets her opening. Her Solar Guardian allows her to instantly fly to the targeted ally, turning a simple pick-off into a full-blown teamfight that Kunkka may not be prepared for. While Dawnbreaker is still vulnerable to Torrent and can be interrupted, her ability to show up anywhere creates constant pressure. Celestial Hammer also gives her a way to reposition or close the distance on Kunkka after he uses his spells, making it hard for him to safely poke and retreat.

This dynamic forces Kunkka to play with more caution throughout the mid-game. He has to consider where Dawnbreaker is before committing his long cooldowns, as a failed gank can quickly turn into a lost objective. Dawnbreaker, on the other hand, can farm aggressively and trust her ultimate to get her into the action when needed. The advantage is only slight because Kunkka can still win fights by catching Dawnbreaker herself or by chaining his stuns on her before she can get her abilities off. It puts the burden of execution on Kunkka to play around her global presence.
