Dawnbreaker vs Marci

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against Marci becomes much easier because Dawnbreaker naturally counters her game plan. Marci wants to find an isolated hero, jump in with Rebound, and secure a quick kill with Unleash. The problem is Solar Guardian, which allows Dawnbreaker to instantly join that fight from anywhere, turning the gank around with a stun and heal. Even in a straight-up brawl, Dawnbreaker has the edge. Her Starbreaker swings and passive healing make her incredibly tough to burst down, allowing her to outlast Marci’s initial damage and win the extended fight.

This dynamic puts Marci on the back foot from the mid-game onward. Her primary job of setting the tempo with pickoffs is neutralized, which lets Dawnbreaker and her team farm more safely and pull ahead. For the matchup to work, Marci's team has to either bait out Solar Guardian before committing to a real objective, or somehow find and burst Dawnbreaker down before she can react. Both are difficult, and usually Dawnbreaker gets to dictate the engagement, waiting for Marci to overextend before punishing the commitment.
