Dawnbreaker vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Attempting to burst Mirana often comes down to a game of chicken with cooldowns. Dawnbreaker has the tools to get on top of a target with Celestial Hammer and Starbreaker, but Mirana’s Leap is an excellent escape. If Mirana uses Leap too early, Dawnbreaker can recall her hammer and close the gap a second time. If she waits too long, she gets caught by Starbreaker's stun and is unlikely to survive. This interaction is a pure skill test between Dawnbreaker's aggression and Mirana's slipperiness, which keeps the fight from feeling one-sided.

Throughout the game, this dynamic favors whoever gets the jump on the other. Mirana can set up kills on Dawnbreaker from the fog with a well-aimed Sacred Arrow, stopping a Starbreaker channel cold. Conversely, Dawnbreaker can use Solar Guardian to counter-initiate on Mirana's team or land directly on her after she uses Leap to join a fight.
