Dawnbreaker vs Ogre Magi

How this matchup plays

Getting harassed by Ignite as Ogre Magi's lane partner tries to finish you off is a pain, but it's less effective against Dawnbreaker. She can use the movement from Starbreaker to fight through the slow and connect with her combo anyway. The lifesteal from Luminosity also helps her recover from the constant burn damage, making it hard for Ogre to bully her out of the lane. He doesn't have a reliable way to interrupt her basic plan, forcing him to play more defensively than he'd like.

As the game progresses, Dawnbreaker’s item choices often make Ogre Magi's lockdown even less of a threat. A well-timed Fireblast can still be an issue, but she’s not a hero who gets easily kited or burst down by his typical spell rotation. Ogre is forced into a support role of trying to peel for his own cores, because he can't effectively initiate on or control Dawnbreaker himself. She can often ignore him and focus on more important targets.
