Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Dawnbreaker wins the Dawnbreaker vs Shadow Demon matchup: Dawnbreaker beats Shadow Demon in 58.58% of 9,409 ranked matches.
Thinking you can save a teammate from Dawnbreaker with Disruption is a common mistake. The spell often works against you, holding the target in place while she and her team close in. When the victim is finally released, they're isolated and perfectly set up for a Starbreaker stun. While Shadow Demon can use Demonic Purge to slow her advance, Dawnbreaker is naturally durable enough to power through it and stay on top of her target. She creates constant, messy fights where Shadow Demon's reactive, single-target spells feel inadequate. He can’t effectively kite her, and he’s a prime target for her dives with little recourse once his own defensive spells are on cooldown.
