Dazzle vs Earthshaker

How this matchup plays

Winning a teamfight often hinges on a split-second reaction. Earthshaker’s goal is to find an opening with Blink Dagger and instantly delete a hero with his combo. Dazzle, however, directly counters this plan with Shallow Grave. A single well-timed save can completely nullify an Echo Slam initiation, leaving Earthshaker with all his spells on cooldown and in a bad position. The matchup becomes a test of execution: if Earthshaker can catch Dazzle himself in a Fissure or stun, he can succeed. If Dazzle anticipates the jump, he makes Earthshaker's life very difficult.

This dynamic creates a tense mid-game where neither hero has a clear advantage. Earthshaker is forced to play more patiently, often needing to specifically target and eliminate Dazzle before committing to a bigger fight. In response, Dazzle must perfect his positioning, staying far enough back to avoid being the primary target while remaining close enough to save his cores. The game often swings based on who gets the drop on whom. A saved carry can easily turn on Earthshaker, but a dead Dazzle usually means his team isn't far behind.
