Dazzle vs Faceless Void

How this matchup plays

Catching a key hero in Chronosphere often feels less rewarding when Dazzle is on the enemy team. A well-timed Shallow Grave can completely neutralize Faceless Void’s setup, forcing him to either give up on the kill or waste his ultimate entirely. Dazzle’s spells also reduce physical armor, which can soften up Void for a counter-attack after Chronosphere ends. This all depends on Dazzle’s positioning, though. If Faceless Void can catch Dazzle in the Chronosphere along with his primary target, there’s usually nothing stopping him from getting the kill and winning the fight.

This makes mid-game teamfights a tense game of chicken. The Faceless Void player is always looking for a way to catch Dazzle out of position or include him in the ultimate. In response, a good Dazzle will stand far back, forcing Void to choose between a valuable core and the support who can save them. When Void commits his biggest cooldown and fails to secure a kill because of the Grave, his team loses a huge amount of tempo. The game often comes down to which of these two players makes the right read in a crucial fight.
