Dazzle vs Jakiro

How this matchup plays

Picking a support into Jakiro means preparing for a lot of sustained damage and area denial. Dazzle has a mixed toolkit for this. On one hand, Shallow Grave is famously weak against damage-over-time spells like Macropyre; the target is saved for a moment but often dies as soon as the protection ends. The real advantage comes from Shadow Wave. Jakiro’s laning strength relies on chipping away at health with Liquid Fire, and Dazzle’s low-cooldown heal directly negates that strategy. It allows his lane partner to stay healthy, farm, and shrug off harass that would otherwise force them back to base.

Throughout the game, this dynamic continues. Jakiro will try to control teamfights by blanketing an area in fire and ice, making it impossible to stand still. The goal for the Dazzle is not to perfectly save someone from Macropyre, but to use Shallow Grave to buy a few crucial seconds for a core to finish a target or escape the zone. His team can often out-sustain Jakiro's initial barrage and then take the fight once the big spells are on cooldown. For Jakiro to succeed, he needs his team to follow up on Ice Path and secure kills quickly before Dazzle's healing can turn the tide.
