Dazzle vs Muerta

How this matchup plays

Trying to secure a kill with Muerta's ultimate often comes down to one question: where is Dazzle? Muerta wants to use Pierce the Veil to quickly eliminate a key target with a huge amount of magical damage from her attacks. This plan, however, runs directly into Shallow Grave, which can completely negate her burst if timed correctly. The entire interaction becomes a test of reaction speed. Since Muerta's ultimate makes her Ethereal and immune to physical attacks, Dazzle can't do much to stop her directly, putting all the pressure on landing his save on the correct target.

This dynamic forces both teams to play around the other's key ability. The Muerta player will often try to kill Dazzle first, or use Dead Shot to fear him out of position right before using her ultimate. On the other side, Dazzle has to position himself carefully, staying far enough back to avoid being the initial target but close enough to save the ally Muerta eventually chooses. The game can feel like a stalemate until one of these heroes gets the jump on the other, making fights hinge entirely on who executes their plan first.
