Hunting for solo pickoffs becomes much less reliable for Queen of Pain when Dazzle is on the other team. Her entire pattern revolves around blinking in and unloading a massive amount of burst damage with Scream of Pain and Sonic Wave to delete a hero. Dazzle's Shallow Grave directly answers this, buying crucial seconds for the target to survive and for teammates to turn the fight around. A well-timed grave completely negates her assassination attempt. Furthermore, Poison Touch's stacking slow can make it difficult for Queen of Pain to disengage after her initial blink, leaving her vulnerable.

This dynamic forces Queen of Pain to change her target priority. Instead of looking for the easy kill on a core, she often has to focus Dazzle first, which can mean blinking into a more dangerous position. For Dazzle, the game becomes about careful positioning, staying far enough back to avoid being the initial target but close enough to cast Shallow Grave on whoever gets jumped. A skilled Queen of Pain can still find openings, especially by catching Dazzle out of position, but his defensive kit naturally complicates her primary game plan.
