Dazzle vs Sand King

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a perfect Epicenter on a core can feel impossible when a Dazzle is on the other team. Sand King relies on blinking in and deleting a key target with his ultimate, but a single cast of Shallow Grave completely negates that plan. The target survives the full duration of the damage, leaving Sand King exposed and with his biggest cooldown spent for nothing. Even before the big teamfights, Dazzle's healing can frustrate Sand King's attempts to poke and harass lanes with Sand Storm, making it difficult to set up kills.

The matchup isn't one-sided, though, because Dazzle himself is an excellent target for Sand King. If the Sand King can get the jump on Dazzle with a good Burrowstrike, Dazzle will die before he can cast Grave on anyone. This turns teamfights into a positioning duel. Dazzle wants to stay far in the backline, ready to react to the initiation. Sand King, in turn, has to navigate the fight to find and burst the Dazzle first, or bait out the Grave on a less important target before committing his ultimate on his real priority.
