How this matchup plays

Drafting Dazzle means betting you can land a clutch save, but Silencer complicates that bet. The core of Dazzle's kit is reacting to burst damage with a well-timed Shallow Grave to turn a fight. Global Silence is the perfect tool to prevent that. When Silencer's team commits to a kill, he can use his ultimate to ensure Dazzle is helpless for its duration, unable to cast the one spell that would have saved his ally. This direct interference with Dazzle's most impactful ability is what gives Silencer a small advantage.

Throughout the game, this threat forces Dazzle's team to play with more respect for ganks. The Silencer side will try to coordinate attacks around his ultimate's cooldown, looking for clean pickoffs. To compensate, a good Dazzle player must focus on pre-emptive positioning and vision control, trying to avoid situations where a last-second save is needed in the first place. If the core target can survive the silence, or if Silencer uses his ultimate at a poor time, Dazzle is free to do his job once it ends.
