How this matchup plays

Saving an ally from a Charge of Darkness with a well-timed Shallow Grave is the central story of this matchup. Spirit Breaker relies on his initial lockdown and burst to secure a kill, but Dazzle can negate that opening with a single spell. Even after Nether Strike, the target is still alive and fighting, often turning the gank completely around. This forces Spirit Breaker to reconsider his primary targets, as his usual tactic of isolating and bursting a vulnerable core becomes much less reliable when Dazzle is on the map and ready to cast.

The dynamic shifts when Spirit Breaker decides to target Dazzle directly. Without a teammate to save him, Dazzle is extremely vulnerable to being charged and locked down himself.
