Trying to burst a target down with Fury Swipes is Ursa's entire game plan, and Dazzle's Shallow Grave is the perfect tool to stop it. The spell's duration is long enough to completely waste Ursa's Overpower and Enrage window. He commits all his resources to get a kill in a few seconds, but the Grave denies the final blow and leaves him exposed deep in enemy lines. Once his initial burst is spent, he has no easy way to disengage or switch targets, making him an easy victim for the counter-attack.

This dynamic defines the matchup from the mid-game onwards. An Ursa with a new Blink Dagger wants to find isolated targets, but Dazzle’s presence on the map creates a huge zone of safety that neutralizes this power spike. Ursa is forced to either bait the Shallow Grave on a less important target or build expensive items like a Nullifier, which delays his core progression. Poison Touch also makes it difficult for him to stay on top of anyone, creating another layer of frustration. Ursa wants fights to end instantly, while Dazzle ensures they last long enough for his team to turn the tables.
