Dazzle vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other rarely creates a clear advantage because their kits work at cross-purposes. Dazzle’s job is to extend a single ally’s life through clutch saves, and Shallow Grave is an excellent tool for dealing with a single, high-impact threat like a Warlock Golem trying to bash someone down. However, the exact defensive, grouped-up positioning that Dazzle encourages is what gets punished hardest by Fatal Bonds. Warlock spreads damage out over time to the whole team, while Dazzle is focused on saving one person at a time from burst. The result is that neither hero can fully execute their game plan.

A teamfight often comes down to which hero gets their ultimate off better. If Warlock can land Chaotic Offering before Dazzle can react, the stun usually ensures key targets die before a Grave can be applied. On the other hand, if Dazzle has good positioning, he can save a core from the initial golem impact, allowing his team to turn and kite the slowed Golem. The fight can swing either way based on a single spell's timing and placement, making the overall matchup feel very even and dependent on execution from fight to fight.
