Death Prophet vs Disruptor

How this matchup plays

Committing to a fight with Exorcism is how Death Prophet creates pressure, but Disruptor has the ideal kit to punish that commitment. Glimpse is the main problem, sending Death Prophet back to where she was moments before and wasting a huge portion of her ultimate's duration. If she does manage to stay in the fight, Disruptor can trap her with Kinetic Field and silence her with Static Storm. This prevents her from using Crypt Swarm for damage or her own silence to control others, leaving her vulnerable while her ghosts slowly fade away.

This dynamic comes down to timing and itemization in mid-game teamfights. A Death Prophet player will often try to bait out Glimpse before activating Exorcism, or rush a Black King Bar to ignore Disruptor’s control entirely. For his part, the Disruptor has to hold his spells for the right moment. If he uses Glimpse on the wrong target or fails to catch her before she activates BKB, Death Prophet can still run his team over. The matchup often hinges on which of these two players better anticipates the other's moves.
