Death Prophet vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Controlling the pace of a fight is a constant tug-of-war between these two heroes. Pangolier is excellent at disrupting a static teamfight, which is exactly what Death Prophet needs for a good Exorcism. With Rolling Thunder, he can repeatedly stun and reposition her, wasting the ultimate's duration. His Swashbuckle also provides an easy escape from Spirit Siphon tethers, making him a slippery target. However, this entire advantage disappears the moment he gets caught by Death Prophet's Silence. Stripped of his mobility, Pangolier becomes extremely vulnerable and unable to perform his disruptive role, which balances the scales.

This dynamic creates a tense cat-and-mouse game throughout the mid and late game. A successful fight often hinges on which of them acts first and more decisively. Pangolier is forced to find clever angles to initiate or bait out the Silence, while Death Prophet has to be disciplined, often saving her Silence just for him. Because neither can reliably shut down the other without being severely punished for a misstep, the matchup often feels like it could go either way based on a single key spell usage.
