Death Prophet vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Committing Exorcism to a teamfight feels terrible against Wraith King. Death Prophet relies on that long-duration ultimate to wear down the enemy frontline and win the engagement. Wraith King, however, can absorb the full brunt of it, die, and then come back to life with Reincarnation. The entire momentum of Death Prophet's attack is stalled as her ghosts have to chew through a second health bar. If Wraith King has a Blade Mail, her own Exorcism and Spirit Siphon will do massive damage back to her, making it dangerous to even focus him.

This core interaction ruins Death Prophet's mid-game plan. She wants to group with her team and push towers, using Exorcism as the main threat. Instead, Wraith King can confidently stand in front, knowing his second life invalidates her entire cooldown. After he revives, the Reincarnation slow makes it easy for his team to clean up. Death Prophet's only real option is to try and ignore him and kill his backline, but his stun and general presence make that incredibly difficult, often leaving her team split and vulnerable.
