Death Prophet vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Feeling tough with Exorcism up might make you think you can stand your ground against Spirit Breaker, but that's rarely the case. He completely dictates the engagement with Charge of Darkness, getting on top of Death Prophet from anywhere on the map. His constant stuns from Greater Bash and Nether Strike make it impossible for her to channel Spirit Siphon for sustain or even get her Silence off in time. Without any inherent mobility spell to create distance, Death Prophet is essentially a stationary target once he decides to go on her, unable to fight back or escape the chain stuns.

This pressure starts early, making a mid Death Prophet an easy gank target. In teamfights, Spirit Breaker's main job is to find her before she can position for a good Exorcism and take her out of the picture. He can often kill her solo, even while her ultimate is active. To survive, she needs her team to be ready with saves and counter-stuns. Building items like a Force Staff or Eul's Scepter is basically mandatory, but it’s a constant struggle for her to stay alive long enough to contribute.
