Death Prophet vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Fighting for map control becomes a nightmare for Death Prophet’s team. Her entire game plan revolves around grouping up with Exorcism to pressure towers, but Techies turns every objective approach into a slow, dangerous crawl through Proximity Mines. This completely stalls her mid-game timing, bleeding her team's economy and momentum while they try to de-mine. Even if a fight breaks out, Techies' Blast Off! provides a massive area silence that can completely neutralize Death Prophet. Getting silenced means she can't cast Spirit Siphon to survive, leaving her stranded and easily focused down even with her ultimate active.

The result is that Death Prophet is rarely able to play her aggressive, front-lining style. Instead of leading the charge on a tower, she's forced to play reactively, worried about mine stacks and the instant silence from Blast Off!. A good Techies player can easily predict where DP wants to go and make those areas uninhabitable. To have a chance, the Death Prophet has to rely on her team having excellent vision and de-mining tools, or hope to catch Techies out of position before a fight begins, which is often asking too much.
