How this matchup plays

Picking one of these supports into the other creates a tense standoff around initiation. Earthshaker's entire game revolves around blinking in for a decisive Echo Slam, but a well-timed Glimpse from Disruptor can send him right back where he started, his ultimate completely wasted. This threat forces Earthshaker to play cautiously. On the other hand, a long-range Fissure can easily stun and interrupt a channeled Static Storm, saving a core hero caught inside. Both heroes have a direct answer to the other's most impactful spell, creating a stalemate.

This dynamic turns teamfights into a positioning puzzle. The Earthshaker player will look for an opening away from Disruptor, trying to catch anyone else to start a fight. In response, the Disruptor has to play defensively, holding his spells specifically to counter-initiate. The outcome often hinges on which of them is caught first or forced to use their spells sub-optimally.
