Picking one of these supports into the other creates a real standoff, particularly in the lane. Both Disruptor and Grimstroke excel at punishing a single opponent's misstep. Disruptor can instantly negate an aggressive play by using Glimpse on a hero running forward with Ink Swell, resetting the fight before it starts. On the other hand, Grimstroke has a direct answer to Disruptor's setup. A well-aimed Phantom's Embrace can silence Disruptor, interrupting his Glimpse and Kinetic Field combo and leaving him exposed. This core interaction means neither hero can easily execute their game plan without being contested.

This dynamic of counter-play continues into teamfights. Success hinges on which support can disable the other or their target first. If Disruptor catches an enemy in Kinetic Field and Static Storm, Grimstroke can still try to save them by applying Ink Swell for its eventual stun and damage. Conversely, if Grimstroke lands a good Soulbind, Disruptor’s Glimpse on one of the targets becomes a complex decision that could either help or harm the situation.
