Disruptor vs Necrophos

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down and burst Necrophos with a full combo can often feel unrewarding for Disruptor. Even when caught in Kinetic Field and Static Storm, Necrophos is usually able to activate Ghost Shroud, making him immune to the physical damage from carries who are trying to help. He's also durable enough to sustain through the magic damage with Death Pulse, healing himself while chipping away at anyone caught with him. This turns Disruptor's best initiation tool into a minor inconvenience rather than a death sentence.

As the game progresses, this forces the Disruptor player to make a tough choice. Targeting Necrophos is inefficient, so the better play is to use Glimpse and Static Storm on one of his more fragile teammates. This allows Necrophos to operate more freely in teamfights, knowing he's not the primary target for control. While a well-timed Glimpse on a core can still win a fight, Necrophos’s ability to simply ignore Disruptor's main threat gives his team a consistent advantage in head-on engagements.
