Disruptor vs Night Stalker

How this matchup plays

Getting silenced by Crippling Fear is often the end for a support like Disruptor. Night Stalker's whole plan revolves around running at a target, and his high speed at night lets him close the distance and apply that silence before Disruptor can react with Glimpse. If the Glimpse doesn't get cast, Disruptor usually dies. The interaction is very dependent on who acts first. A quick Night Stalker can prevent the combo, but a prepared Disruptor can send him right back where he came from, completely neutralizing the gank attempt.

This matchup becomes a battle of vision and positioning. Night Stalker will look for opportunities to charge out of the darkness, especially during Dark Ascension, to pick off a poorly positioned Disruptor. In response, Disruptor has to play further back than usual and rely on his team's vision to see ganks coming. The advantage tilts slightly toward Night Stalker because his kit is built for surprise aggression, which directly preys on a spellcaster who needs a moment to set up his control. During the day, however, Disruptor is much safer and can play his own game.
