Disruptor vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Choosing a fragile backliner like Disruptor often comes down to whether the enemy team can get to him, and Nyx Assassin excels at doing exactly that. Using Vendetta, he can find and initiate on Disruptor from invisibility, often deleting him before his team can react. Mana Burn is especially punishing, draining Disruptor's key resource while dealing significant damage. The biggest issue is Spiked Carapace; if Disruptor tries to trap Nyx with Static Storm or Kinetic Field, Nyx can activate Carapace to stun Disruptor and easily escape, turning Disruptor's own control against him.

This dynamic forces the Disruptor player into a much more defensive posture throughout the game. He has to spend more gold on Sentry Wards and stay far behind his cores to avoid being picked off. While a well-timed Glimpse can send a charging Nyx Assassin back to where he came from, the initiative remains with Nyx. The constant threat of being found and killed before a fight even starts is what creates this slight advantage. Disruptor can still be effective, but he has to work much harder for it.
