Disruptor vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other is a bet on which player has faster reflexes. Disruptor’s entire game plan revolves around punishing movement with Glimpse or trapping key targets with Kinetic Field and Static Storm. Pangolier, however, is built to negate exactly that kind of control. Spell immunity from Rolling Thunder allows him to pass through Disruptor's lockdown entirely, while Swashbuckle provides a fast escape from a poorly placed field. The core interaction is whether Disruptor can land his spells before Pangolier can press his buttons, or vice versa.

This standoff defines how teamfights play out. The outcome often hinges on which hero acts first with better information. If Disruptor can catch Pangolier moving between camps or before he activates his ultimate, the fight is usually won. Conversely, a Pangolier who gets the jump can roll through the back lines with impunity, making Disruptor's spells useless. This tension is why they also struggle on the same team; Pangolier's tendency to knock enemies around with his ultimate often pushes them to safety, directly undoing the lockdown Disruptor tries to create.
