Disruptor vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

The core of this matchup is a duel between Glimpse and Meat Hook. A successful hook on a key hero can be completely undone by Disruptor sending them right back to safety. This single interaction forces Pudge to reconsider his primary targets. However, Pudge's natural tankiness from Flesh Heap means he can often survive a full Static Storm combo, and if he manages to hook Disruptor himself, the squishy support will almost certainly die. Both heroes fundamentally threaten what the other is trying to accomplish, leading to a standstill.

As the game goes on, Pudge has to adapt. He can't simply hook the first target he sees; he often needs to prioritize killing Disruptor first, usually with a Blink Dagger to close the gap for Dismember. This puts the pressure on Disruptor's positioning, as he needs to stay far enough back to be safe but close enough to save his own team. The outcome of fights often depends on which of these two heroes gets the jump on the other, making it a constant battle of vision and reaction time rather than a straightforward counter.
