Disruptor vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Catching Wraith King with a full combo of Kinetic Field and Static Storm feels great until he stands right back up. Reincarnation completely wastes Disruptor's most important cooldowns. All that lockdown and damage gets spent killing the first life, leaving nothing for the second. Glimpse is also much less effective; sending Wraith King back to base is a minor inconvenience when he's happy to fight, die, and rejoin the battle with his ultimate. His entire purpose is to absorb that initial burst, which is exactly what Disruptor provides.

This dynamic allows Wraith King to play far more aggressively than he normally could. He can walk forward to bait out Static Storm, knowing he'll get a second chance while Disruptor is left with nothing. The Disruptor is forced to either try and ignore the big frontliner smashing his team or hope his allies have enough follow-up damage to kill him twice in one go. Often, the best play for Disruptor is to save his spells for a different hero, but that's not always an option when Wraith King is leading the charge.
