Disruptor vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Deciding how to play the support matchup here is tricky because both heroes excel at punishing the other's ideal setup. Warlock's strength comes from Chaotic Offering, and the summoned Golem is a huge problem for Disruptor since it can't be sent back by Glimpse. Kinetic Field can trap it, but the Golem will continue attacking anyone caught inside. On the other hand, Disruptor is one of the best heroes for punishing a slow-moving, slow-casting hero like Warlock. A single Glimpse before Warlock can get his ultimate off often means a free kill, completely negating his impact.

This creates a standoff that lasts the whole game. Teamfights become a matter of which support gets their spells off first. If Disruptor catches Warlock, the fight is likely won. If Warlock lands a good Chaotic Offering, Disruptor’s team is suddenly facing a huge Golem and Fatal Bonds, which punishes them for grouping up to use Static Storm. Neither hero has a clear, inherent advantage over the other; it all comes down to positioning, vision, and which team has the better initiation to enable their support.
