How this matchup plays

Choosing between these two heroes is often less about who wins the lane and more about what the rest of your draft needs. Dragon Knight's natural tankiness from Dragon's Blood lets him absorb a lot of harassment, but it doesn't stop Lina from bursting him down if she lands her full combo. Conversely, Lina is extremely fragile. If Dragon Knight survives her spells and closes the distance with Dragon Tail, she has very little chance of getting away. The whole interaction hinges on her executing the burst from a safe distance before he can get on top of her.

This creates a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic across the game. Lina plays from the back line, looking for a delete with Laguna Blade, and she has the range to do it. Dragon Knight, meanwhile, wants to find a way into the fight, often with a Blink Dagger, and stun her before she can react. The outcome of their clashes usually depends on who has better vision and initiation.
