Dragon Knight vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Trading hits in a side lane reveals the core problem for Dragon Knight. He's built to be durable and outlast people with Dragon Blood, but Wraith King's kit is almost perfectly designed to beat that strategy. The lifesteal from Vampiric Spirit lets Wraith King sustain through DK's consistent damage, while his own critical strikes can chunk through that high armor. The biggest issue is Reincarnation. Dragon Knight doesn't have the burst to kill an opponent twice, so even if he wins the initial trade, he has to do it all over again while low on resources.

Across the game, this means Wraith King can force engagements that Dragon Knight wants to avoid. Dragon Knight excels at sieging towers in Dragon Form, but he can't do that if Wraith King is there to challenge him directly. The best play for DK is often to split the map and pressure objectives away from the fight, forcing a reaction. If they do clash, DK's team needs to provide the burst and control to handle Reincarnation, because Dragon Knight himself can't provide it. Wraith King can play with confidence, knowing the opposing frontliner isn't a direct threat to him.
