Dragon Knight vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Charging into a Dragon Knight can be a good way to break his siege. While Dragon Knight is very durable, he's also slow and lacks escape tools, especially once Elder Dragon Form is committed. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness lets him control the initiation, often from an angle DK's team isn't watching. The impact can push Dragon Knight away from a tower or his allies, and follow-up bashes prevent him from easily retaliating. This forces Dragon Knight to use his powerful Dragon Tail stun defensively rather than to set up kills, which plays right into Spirit Breaker's disruptive game plan.

Throughout the mid-game, this makes Dragon Knight's signature tower-pushing strategy feel less secure. He wants to plant himself in front of objectives, but he has to constantly respect the threat of being charged and isolated. A well-timed charge can break up a push before it even gets going. The matchup isn't one-sided, however. A farmed Dragon Knight with items can often survive Spirit Breaker's initial assault and turn the fight with his team's help. Spirit Breaker dictates the tempo, but he can't always finish the job against such a tanky core.
