Dragon Knight vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Pushing a lane in Dragon Form is normally the hero's main objective, but against Techies, it becomes a liability. Dragon Knight is slow, predictable, and has to walk directly at the things he wants to destroy. This makes him a perfect target for Proximity Mines and Sticky Bombs. He has no natural way to clear minefields from a safe distance, forcing him to either walk into them or waste his precious ultimate duration waiting for his team. Techies basically denies Dragon Knight his entire mid-game timing window by making the objectives he wants to take incredibly dangerous to approach.

This dynamic forces Dragon Knight's team to play a slow, reactive game of de-mining instead of their usual proactive tower push. Techies can set up defensive minefields around key objectives long before a fight, dictating where the enemy can and cannot go. Even with a Black King Bar, DK might survive the initial magic damage but can still find himself slowed, isolated, and out of position. Techies fundamentally breaks the simple game plan that Dragon Knight relies on, turning his greatest strength—his durability and siege potential—into his biggest weakness.
