Dragon Knight vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Dragon Knight is often frustrating for an Ursa. Dragon Knight's natural armor and regeneration from Dragon Blood make him incredibly difficult to kill with physical damage early on, which directly interferes with Ursa's plan to build up Fury Swipes stacks for a quick kill. Adding Breathe Fire's damage reduction on top of that means Ursa's initial attack flurry feels much less threatening. This inherent tankiness allows Dragon Knight to survive gank attempts that would kill most other heroes, slowing Ursa's crucial early-game momentum.

Across the game, this dynamic forces Ursa to play more cautiously. Dragon Knight can confidently push lanes and take towers in Elder Dragon Form, knowing he's not an easy solo target. Ursa's best bet is to wait for his own key items, like a Blink Dagger, to initiate from an unexpected angle and overwhelm Dragon Knight before he or his team can react. He also needs to play around Dragon Tail, either by baiting it out or by using Enrage to shrug off the stun duration. The lane is tough, but a farmed Ursa can still win the manfight later on.
