Dragon Knight vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Shredding Dragon Knight's armor is the main reason this matchup can feel difficult. He relies heavily on the innate tankiness from Dragon's Blood to be an effective frontliner, but Vengeful Spirit's Wave of Terror directly counters that plan. It makes him much softer for her cores to focus down with physical attacks. Beyond that, Nether Swap is a constant threat. Vengeful Spirit can use it to save whichever ally Dragon Knight tries to lock down with Dragon Tail, or she can use it aggressively to pull the slow-moving DK out of position and isolate him from his team.

During the laning stage, this isn't always a huge issue; Dragon Knight is self-sufficient enough to farm. The problems show up in mid-game teamfights where Vengeful Spirit enables her team to burst him down before he can have a major impact. Dragon Knight’s goal becomes getting a Black King Bar to ignore her spells and force his way onto her backline. Venge's team, on the other hand, wants to play around his BKB duration, using the armor reduction and her stun to control and kill him whenever his magic immunity is down.
