Fighting near treelines often decides who has the upper hand here. Earthshaker brings a long-range, reliable stun with Fissure, which is perfect for interrupting Hoodwink's Sharpshooter from a safe distance. His chain stuns are also lethal if he can ever get on top of her. However, Hoodwink is designed to be evasive, especially in the woods. Her Scurry lets her phase through trees and gain evasion, making her a difficult target to pin down with Fissure blocks or even to finish off with physical attacks after an Echo Slam.

This interaction comes down to who gets the jump. Before Earthshaker gets a Blink Dagger, Hoodwink can often control the spacing and poke him out. Once he has his initiation tool, the threat flips entirely. A successful Blink-Echo combo will almost always delete Hoodwink. The outcome of any fight depends on her ability to anticipate his initiation, use vision to her advantage, and have a tree nearby to Scurry into for a potential Bushwhack turn. It's a positioning duel with a quick resolution.
