Earthshaker vs Jakiro

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a big spell as Jakiro can be frustrating against an Earthshaker. The long cast time on Macropyre and the delay on Ice Path give Earthshaker a wide window to interrupt with Fissure from a safe distance, often canceling Jakiro's contribution before it even starts. As a slow hero with no natural escape, Jakiro also makes for a prime target. A Blink Dagger on Earthshaker means Jakiro can be instantly initiated on and taken out of a fight, turning his biggest strength—area control—into a liability for his team if they try to fight around him.

This matchup often comes down to timings. Jakiro can make the laning stage miserable for Earthshaker, using his spell spam to zone him out and delay his core items. The goal for Jakiro is to build a lead for his team before Earthshaker comes online. Once Earthshaker finds his Blink Dagger, however, the dynamic shifts completely. Jakiro is forced to play from the back lines and must position perfectly to avoid getting caught. Good positioning and a quick Force Staff can help Jakiro survive, but the constant threat of instant initiation gives Earthshaker the advantage in mid-game teamfights.
