Earthshaker vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Trying to position as a fragile spellcaster against an Earthshaker is always a tense experience. On one hand, Lina is exactly the kind of target he wants to find with a Blink Dagger. She has low health and dies quickly if she gets caught in his stun chain. A well-placed Fissure can completely isolate her from her team, leading to an easy kill long before she can react. On the other hand, Lina’s own Light Strike Array has enough range to potentially catch Earthshaker as he initiates, turning his aggression against him. It's a standoff where the first hero to get stunned usually loses.

This dynamic means the game often hinges on vision control and team positioning. Before he gets his Blink Dagger, Earthshaker offers very little threat, allowing Lina to control the tempo. Once that key item is secured, the pressure flips entirely, and Lina is forced to play cautiously, often needing a Force Staff or Eul's Scepter to survive ganks. In teamfights, it becomes a duel of reflexes. If Lina's team provides a solid frontline, she can sit back and melt Earthshaker from safety. If Earthshaker finds his opening, Lina is the first to die.
