Earthshaker vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Setting up for a big Echo Slam is a tense moment against a Nyx Assassin. His Spiked Carapace is a direct answer to Earthshaker’s biggest teamfight spell. A well-timed Carapace can reflect the slam’s initial damage and stun back at your team, turning a fight before it even begins. This forces the Earthshaker to be extremely careful with his positioning and timing. On top of that, Nyx’s Mana Burn can be a constant drain, making it harder for Earthshaker to have enough resources for his full Fissure and Echo Slam combination when a fight breaks out.

Throughout the game, this creates a cat-and-mouse dynamic. The Earthshaker has to either find and burst Nyx Assassin before using Echo Slam or try to bait out Spiked Carapace first.
