How this matchup plays

Puck's entire defensive style revolves around having a split second to react with Phase Shift or Ethereal Jaunt. Earthshaker completely bypasses this with the instant stuns from Aftershock. A blink-initiation with Enchant Totem leaves no time to dodge, and a well-placed Fissure from out of vision provides more than enough lockdown to guarantee a kill. Earthshaker’s kit is fundamentally built to counter heroes who rely on that brief moment of reaction time to stay alive, which makes him a direct answer to Puck's elusiveness.

This dynamic forces Puck to play scared all game. You can’t farm aggressively or position for a big Dream Coil if Earthshaker is missing from the map. The constant threat of a blink-stun combo means Puck is often zoned out of fights entirely, unable to get close enough to deal damage or provide control. Puck's game is about calculated aggression and controlling teamfights, but against an Earthshaker, you're forced into a passive, reactive role that doesn't play to the hero's strengths.
