Earthshaker vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Playing for pickoffs to build a lead gets much harder when the enemy support can lock you down through your purge. Slark normally relies on Dark Pact to escape single stuns and keep fighting, but Earthshaker's kit is built around chain-stunning. A well-placed Fissure can force an early Dark Pact, but Earthshaker can often follow up with another stun from Aftershock before Slark can leap away. This creates kill windows that other supports can't, slowing down Slark's ability to snowball by finding solo kills across the map.

Throughout the game, Slark has to be more aware of Earthshaker's position than a typical support. A surprise Echo Slam during a gank attempt or teamfight can completely bypass Slark's normal escape plan and get him killed before he can react. Slark's goal becomes baiting out Earthshaker's big spells or waiting for him to use them on someone else before committing fully. This hesitation can be enough to give Earthshaker's team a slight advantage in fights, as Slark can't play his usual aggressive, tempo-setting style as freely.
