Earthshaker vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump on a target with Avalanche and Toss often puts Tiny right where Earthshaker wants him. Tiny's entire kit encourages him to get into the middle of the enemy team, making him a prime target for a multi-hero Echo Slam. Even outside of big teamfights, Earthshaker can completely ruin Tiny's day. A long-range Fissure can trap the low-mobility Tiny, leaving him stranded and vulnerable while his team can't help. Earthshaker has the perfect tools to punish a hero who needs to be up close and personal to do his job.

Throughout the game, this dynamic forces the Tiny player to be extremely careful. He can't initiate fights freely knowing an Echo Slam will turn it around. This means Tiny needs to secure a Black King Bar very early or focus entirely on split-pushing, hoping to avoid fights. Earthshaker, on the other hand, can play reactively. He can hide in the trees, waiting for Tiny to commit, and then Blink in for a fight-winning counter-initiation. The pressure is on Tiny to find a perfect opening, while Earthshaker gets to punish any mistake.
