Earthshaker vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Blinking into a grouped-up team feels like the perfect setup for Earthshaker, but it's often a trap when a Vengeful Spirit is waiting. The moment he lands to Echo Slam, a well-positioned Venge can use Nether Swap to instantly move him out of the fight and into her own team. This completely isolates him and wastes his most important cooldown. Even if she dies to the initial damage, her Vengeance Aura illusion can still cast spells, potentially stunning Earthshaker or another target to disrupt any follow-up, which is why this can feel so difficult.

This dynamic forces the Earthshaker player to be extremely patient. Instead of jumping on the first opportunity, he now has to worry about Vengeful Spirit's positioning and whether her Swap is ready. He might have to wait for her to use it on someone else, or try to initiate on Venge herself, which can be risky. Venge, on the other hand, can play reactively. Her goal is simply to shadow her team's core heroes and be ready to counter-initiate. This puts the burden of execution on the Shaker, giving her side a consistent, if not overwhelming, advantage.
