Enchantress vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Picking Enchantress into a Slark often hinges on whether your team can end the game before he gets out of control. The core issue is Slark's Dark Pact, which lets him purge the attack slow from Untouchable. This allows him to actually fight her instead of being neutered. Each successful hit also steals stats via Essence Shift, making him stronger while she gets progressively easier to kill. While Enchantress wants to kite and wear down enemies from a distance, Slark's kit is well-suited to closing gaps, shedding her slows, and turning the fight back on her.

The early laning phase is where Enchantress has her best window to create an advantage. Using a dominated creep, she can harass Slark and heavily disrupt his farm, delaying his key item timings. If he can survive this initial pressure, the matchup starts to favor him. He can use Shadow Dance to regenerate from her Impetus poke and then re-engage with Pounce once he sees an opening. Late game, Enchantress is forced to play cautiously and rely on her team to peel for her, as a farmed Slark sees her as a prime target.
