Faceless Void vs Grimstroke

How this matchup plays

Farming the map feels a bit more dangerous for Faceless Void when Grimstroke is on the other team. Soulbind is the key ability here; linking Void to one of his allies means he can't easily Time Walk out of a gank, as any stun on his tethered partner will also lock him down. This interaction extends to teamfights, where Grimstroke can potentially use Soulbind on Void inside Chronosphere, allowing his team to stun Void from outside the bubble. Phantom's Embrace adds another problem, creating a silence threat that can mess up Void's spell usage right after a Chrono ends.

This dynamic pressures Faceless Void to play more carefully and often forces an earlier Black King Bar purchase, which can delay his damage output. Before he gets that item, Grimstroke makes him a much easier gank target. Void's plan becomes catching Grimstroke in the Chronosphere before he can cast his spells or simply waiting for his BKB to power through the control. It's a game of positioning and timings, where Grimstroke has an extra tool to disrupt Void's otherwise straightforward plan.
