Faceless Void vs Jakiro

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a Faceless Void is a frustrating experience for Jakiro. The core problem is Time Walk, which allows Void to instantly reposition out of a telegraphed Ice Path or escape the damage of Macropyre. The dispel from Time Walk also removes the powerful slows from both Dual Breath and Liquid Fire, stripping away Jakiro's main tools for controlling a target. On the other side of the coin, Chronosphere is a death sentence for a hero as slow and immobile as Jakiro. He has no way to escape once caught and becomes an easy first kill to start any teamfight.

This dynamic makes fights incredibly difficult for the twin-headed dragon. He's forced to play from extreme range, hoping to contribute without getting jumped on. Faceless Void, however, is always looking for an easy target, and Jakiro fits the bill perfectly. Even if Jakiro manages to get his spells off, Void can often ignore them, Time Walk through the damage, and continue his assault. For Jakiro to have any impact, his team needs to provide other forms of instant lockdown to set up his spells, because he can't rely on doing it himself against a competent Void.
