How this matchup plays

Picking Faceless Void into a Nyx Assassin creates a tense standoff around Chronosphere. Nyx's Spiked Carapace can reflect damage back at Void, and the resulting stun will waste the ultimate if Void isn't spell immune. This forces Void to be extremely careful with his spell usage. Furthermore, constant Mana Burn from Nyx Assassin throughout the game can drain Void's small mana pool, often leaving him without enough resources for a key Time Walk or even the Chronosphere itself when a critical fight breaks out.

The entire dynamic shifts once Faceless Void acquires a Black King Bar. With spell immunity active, he can attack freely inside Chronosphere without fear of being stunned by Spiked Carapace. Nyx's job then becomes about scouting with Vendetta and trying to bait out the BKB before a major objective, or finding Void when his spell immunity is on cooldown.
