Faceless Void vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a hero with traps and pulls is Ringmaster's whole game, but Faceless Void can often ignore it. Any damage taken or misstep into a setup can be undone with a quick Time Walk, resetting the situation. This fundamentally undermines what Ringmaster is trying to do. If Faceless Void decides to commit, Chronosphere offers a clean solution. Ringmaster has no way to use his escape tricks or control spells from inside the sphere, leaving him completely helpless for its duration. His entire kit is based on controlling the board, and Chronosphere takes the board away.

As the game progresses, this dynamic makes teamfights incredibly difficult for Ringmaster. A primary objective for Faceless Void becomes catching Ringmaster in the Chronosphere, often as the first target. Removing his crowd control from the fight early on is a massive swing. The Ringmaster is forced to play from extreme distances, which makes it hard to use his own spells effectively. A well-timed jump from Void can consistently pick him off and leave his team without their key utility hero, usually leading to a lost fight.
