Faceless Void vs Silencer

How this matchup plays

Landing a Chronosphere on the right target is often the goal, but doing so against a Silencer is a real test of timing. If Faceless Void can catch Silencer inside the bubble, there's no Global Silence to stop the follow-up damage from Void's team. If Silencer anticipates the initiation, however, he can cast his ultimate right as Void jumps in. This leaves Void hitting a silenced target alone while his allies can't cast spells to help, completely turning the tables. The whole teamfight can be decided by this one interaction between their ultimates.

As the game progresses, it becomes a duel of positioning and vision. Faceless Void will prioritize getting a Black King Bar and looking for an angle to blink directly onto Silencer before he can react. In response, Silencer has to play defensively, staying far behind his cores and forcing Void to commit Chronosphere on a less important target. Because either hero can win this engagement with good awareness and execution, the matchup tends to feel very balanced, swinging based on who gets the jump in a critical fight.
